$15,000 Sign-On Bonus for Day Shift with a 2-year commitment

Schedule:

3x12s, Day Shift (7a-7p). Holidays and Weekends Required.

About Our Team

Join our team in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. With a 6:1 ratio, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking to grow their skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. This department utilizes self-scheduling application.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
  • Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
