Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother/Baby
Job Type: PRN | Variable
Schedule: 12‑hour shifts, PRN as needed. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
OverviewJoin a 14‑bed Women’s Services Unit featuring a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and an 8‑bed L&D/Mother‑Baby Unit. The unit averages 50 deliveries per month and maintains a below‑average C‑section rate, providing comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns in a supportive environment that promotes positive birthing experiences.
Responsibilities- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
- Perform timely and appropriate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
- Prepare and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.

- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- Preferred: one year of experience.
- Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
