Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Sylva, NC | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekends rotated

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and neonatal patients in a Labor & Delivery unit with a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio
• Perform and interpret fetal heart rate tracings and respond appropriately to findings
• Administer and monitor labor medications and support patients throughout the labor process
• Conduct cervical exams and assist with delivery as needed
• Document patient care accurately using the Paragon electronic health record system
• Collaborate as a team member to ensure a high-quality patient experience

• Active RN license (Associates degree or higher)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Competency in fetal heart rate tracing interpretation, labor medications, and cervical exams
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate

• Familiarity with the Paragon EHR system
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with a team-player, patient-focused approach

• Work at a fully accredited, 86-bed acute care facility with a long-standing reputation for clinical excellence serving western North Carolina
• Located in the scenic foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Sylva offers a charming small-town atmosphere with local dining, breweries, galleries, and outdoor recreation
