Job Summary

We are seeking a Full‑time Medical Assistant Instructor (FTI) to teach the standardized Ross curriculum at our Sylvania, OH campus. The FTI will work under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and will instruct students 5 mornings and 2 evenings per week, while also fulfilling additional administrative duties.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct students using the Ross curriculum, planning lessons and preparing materials.
  • Grade assignments and electronically record results.
  • Promote student retention and support externship activities.
  • Perform related teaching and administrative work as required.
  • Teach 5 mornings and 2 evenings per week.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation in the field taught, with at least three years of occupational experience in the past seven years, and ability to obtain the required license within 90 days of employment.
  • Nationally recognized certification such as RMA, CMA, CCMA, CMAA, or NCMA and a current license, certification or other credential required by law.
  • Or a minimum of five years of job‑related experience with the requirement of a current license or credential.
  • Schedule includes 5 mornings and 2 evenings of teaching per week, plus administrative duties.
  • In‑person, campus‑based position – not remote.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
  • Knowledge of the subjects taught and proficiency with the Ross curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in using technology for student records, including Microsoft, Campus Vue, and Brightspace.
  • Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within specified time frames.
  • Professional demeanor, dress and conduct as a Ross representative and student mentor.
  • Objective treatment of all students, with commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • Adherence to the Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
  • Preferred: prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum.
