MEDICAL ASSISTANT/PULMONARY - Full-time, M-F (8-5)

Toledo Clinic is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work in a busy Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Department located in Sylvania OH with several satellite offices. The hours are Monday and Tuesday (9-5) and Wednesday (8-5). This role involves a rotation of front office and clinical duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

This position will require some travel to other offices located in Wauseon OH and Napoleon OH.

• Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified.
  
  After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional
• $2,000 Retention Bonus.

• 1.Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
• 2.Various clerical duties. Patient check in and check out. Answer incoming calls. Manage patient scheduling.
• 3.Escorting patients to exam room.
• 4.Preparing exam rooms.
• 6.Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
• 7.At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• 8.Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
• 9.Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
• 11.Other duties as assigned.

• - Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• - Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• - Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• - Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• - Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA) or Licensed LPN in OH

• -Medical Assisting Degree/Diploma or LPN Degree/Diploma.

• - Previous clinical and administrative experience in a medical office is preferred.
