Job Summary
S&G Stores is hiring an IT Field Technician to support and maintain technology across a large network of retail and fuel locations. This is a field-based role focused on hands‑on troubleshooting, installations, and maintaining uptime across store environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in the field, handling a mix of networking, system support, and hardware‑related tasks.
Responsibilities- Provide on‑site IT support across store locations based on incoming tickets
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, routing)
- Support Windows environments including user accounts, devices, and Microsoft 365
- Assist with basic server and domain‑related tasks (user accounts, permissions, policies)
- Install and maintain security camera systems and related hardware
- Troubleshoot POS systems and back‑office PCs
- Assist with new store setups, device deployments, and infrastructure upgrades
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues
- Ensure systems remain operational and minimize downtime
- Experience in IT support, networking, or system administration
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, and firewall basics (Fortinet experience is a plus)
- Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, network, and system issues independently
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Gilbarco Passport or similar)
- Experience with security camera systems and installations
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Standard workweek with on‑call rotation
- Availability required for occasional weekends and holidays as part of support coverage
- Field‑based role supporting multiple store locations
- Work is assigned based on ticket demand and operational needs
- Fast‑paced environment with a mix of networking, hardware, and support tasks
- Hourly Pay: $22 – $28 (based on experience)
- Overtime available based on operational needs
- Company vehicle and fuel provided
