Ambulatory RN - Sylvania Primary Care

Overview

This is a full‑time position, working Monday‑Friday, 8:00a‑m to 5:00p‑m in a pediatric primary‑care office. Benefits are eligible.

Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as nurses assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and efficiently through their episode of care. Nurses delegate, oversee, and provide quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.

• Provides nursing care using a family‑centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and plans; implements, educates, and evaluates care using evidence‑based practices.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy requirements.
• Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow, addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.

Three years of pediatric clinical experience, preferred.

• Occasionally: Biohazard waste, climbing stairs/ladder, color vision, driving motor vehicles (work required), additional testing may be required, electricity, fume/gases/vapors, lifting/carrying 41‑60lbs, loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling 100lbs or greater with assistance, pushing/pulling 61‑100lbs, seeing far/near.
• Frequently: Bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, chemicals/medications, communicable diseases and/or pathogens, depth perception, flexing/extending neck, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), patient equipment, peripheral vision, pushing/pulling 0‑25lbs, 26‑40lbs, 41‑60lbs, reaching above shoulder, sitting, squatting/kneeling.
• Continuously: Audible speech, computer skills, decision making, hearing acuity, interpreting data, lifting/carrying 0‑10lbs, 11‑20lbs, 21‑40lbs, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use, standing, walking.
