Junior Accountant

Job Description

VGA CPA is hiring a Junior Accountant. We are looking for an individual who has some accounting experience and is eager to grow and learn within our company.

• Reviews, prepares, reconciles and analyzes accounting records, financial reports and tax returns.

• Monitors, reviews and verifies accounting records and transactions for accuracy, timeliness and adequacy of supporting documentation.
• Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Reviews and analyzes reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
• Clarifies or researches issues as necessary.
• Provides input for the development of accounting applications, reports, forms, records and documented procedures.
• Assists in development of financial projections and forecasts.
• Assists in assigned financial, operational, compliance and/or information systems audits.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor s degree in accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
• Experience:
  
  2-3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with a small to mid-size CPA firm.
• Thorough knowledge of Quick Books Desktop and Quick Books Online.
• Experience in Pro Series and Lacerte Tax Software with knowledge in preparing Individual, Corporation, and Partnership, and Non-Profit Tax Returns.
• Experience in international and foreign tax law and reporting.
• Experience in preparing GILTI Tax & Toll Tax.
