Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support daily financial operations for a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling both payables and receivables in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will help maintain accurate records, process transactions efficiently, and contribute to the smooth flow of accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and enter payment details accurately into accounting systems.

- Maintain accounts payable records by reviewing charges, matching invoices, and helping ensure timely disbursement of funds.

- Record incoming payments, update customer account activity, and assist with routine accounts receivable follow-up.

- Perform high-volume data entry with strong attention to accuracy and consistency across financial documents.

- Reconcile account information and investigate discrepancies to support complete and reliable financial reporting.

- Use Quick Books and related tools to manage transaction records, organize financial data, and produce basic accounting information.

- Assist with invoice processing workflows and support ongoing updates to accounting records and documentation.

Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar finance support role.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience with data entry in an accounting or bookkeeping environment.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Proficiency with Quick Books or comparable accounting software.

- Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured office setting.
