Science Teacher- Probationary
South Woods Middle School
Available on August 25, 2026
The Syosset Central School District seeks a Science Teacher for South Woods Middle School. This anticipated vacancy is a probationary appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Hold NYSED certification in General Science required
- Dual certification in Biology or Earth and Space Sciences preferred
- Prior successful experience teaching Science
- Knowledge of the NYS Science Framework and Learning Standards
- Expertise in differentiated instruction to support the success and growth of all students
- Possess innovative skills using instructional technology
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with a highly respected faculty and staff
Salary as per the Syosset Teachers Association Contract
