FS Education is looking for energetic and responsible Summer Camp Instructors to join our Coding and Robotics Summer Camp at our Syosset campus.
This is a great opportunity for college students, recent graduates, or anyone who enjoys working with kids and has an interest in STEM education. You do not need to be an expert teacher, but you should be patient, reliable, and excited to help students learn through hands-on projects.
Our summer camp focuses on fun, project-based learning in areas such as coding, robotics, engineering design, and creative problem-solving. Students will build, code, test, and improve their projects while developing confidence, teamwork, and logical thinking skills.
Responsibilities- Lead or assist with coding and robotics summer camp classes
- Guide students through hands‑on STEM projects and activities
- Help students debug code, build robots, and solve problems step by step
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Encourage teamwork, creativity, and participation
- Support classroom setup, cleanup, and daily camp routines
- Communicate with the campus team regarding student progress or classroom needs
- College students are welcome to apply
- Experience with coding, robotics, engineering, STEM, or education is preferred
- Familiarity with Scratch, Python, VEX Robotics, LEGO Robotics, or similar platforms is a plus
- Prior experience working with children is a plus
- Patient, friendly, responsible, and comfortable speaking in front of students
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Must be reliable and available during the summer camp schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Summer camp hours: approximately 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Exact schedule can be discussed based on availability
