Overview

Reporting to the VP, Data Products & Services, the Sr Dir, Digital Data Products & Services will lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of analysts, BI developers, and engineers to build and deliver a suite of data-driven intelligent capabilities that support and empower our digital organization, engineering organizations, and strategic office with deeper insights at the speed of business. This role will be tasked with developing a strategy and roadmap that will create greater leverage from SGWS data, BI, and AI investments to drive increasing value into a multibillion-dollar B2B operation.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Develop an impactful multi-quarter strategy to deliver data product and analytic services to digital portfolio and product teams, enterprise engineering functions and the office of strategic management when necessary
  • Lead a cross-functional organization of technical contributors (analysts, engineers, scientists) to improve value delivery
  • Work with executive leaders across multiple corporate disciplines (e.g., finance, sales, operations, engineering, digital) to collaborate on objectives, KPIs, and priorities
  • Support training, development and education efforts to onboard teams to new tools and capabilities while working to decommission legacy tools
  • Monitor trends in the data and AI space and connect with new, potential partners regularly to assess value and opportunities
  • Define and communicate progress against digital metrics of success from a data product perspective
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to challenge assumptions and embrace new technologies
  • Apply your hands-on knowledge of commercial and sales needs (trade, execution, forecasting, pricing) with your data and analytical skills to drive continuous innovation
  • Instill team discipline to deliver early and often while working towards a clear vision
  • Develop and maintain metrics of success and report out on progress regularly
  • Familiarity with industry best practices in data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring that data initiatives align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
  • Passionate about mentoring and developing talent, with a commitment to building diverse and high-performing teams that drive sustained success

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6-8+ years of hands-on experience building with data, managing teams, and working in supporting commercial, digital, technical, and/or strategic functions within a B2B organization
