• Manage and lead team members, operations, and patient care activities within a patient care unit during assigned shift.
• Collaborate with team members and nursing management in developing methods and techniques for patient care.
• Communicate, build consensus, and guide team members toward achieving department objectives.
• Promote and maintain high-quality patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Create a professional work environment that encourages respect, engagement, and accountability.
• Provide direction and guidance to patient care unit team members during assigned shift.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide input into hiring, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Educate team members in new and existing department procedures and systems.
• Ensure adherence to established care delivery models and standards of practice.
• Facilitate compliance with regulations and standards from various health organizations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.

• 4-6 years of nursing experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.
• Inpatient Operating Room RN experience highly preferred.

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
• Specialized certifications as needed.
