• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Perform admission assessments documented on Nursing Care Plans and Nurses notes.
• Reassess patients each shift and with changes in condition.
• Keep the supervisor informed of changes in patient condition and treatments.
• Collaborate with health team members for necessary follow-up.
• Explain procedures to patients before they are performed.
• Administer patient care while respecting privacy and dignity.
• Act rapidly and effectively during emergency situations.
• Contribute to patient care evaluation through unit performance improvement activities.
• Collaborate with health team members in planning and carrying out treatment regimens.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years experience in a hospital setting.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment and obtain a BSN degree within five years of employment.
