About Spectrum

Spectrum Fine Cabinetry has been designing and supplying high-end kitchen and bath cabinetry since 1976. We supply and install cabinetry for luxury multifamily residential buildings across the country. Our New York work is concentrated in Manhattan high-rise luxury condominiums and apartments, where the standards are high and the schedules are a top priority.

The role

This is a hands-on field position for someone who can install, run a punch list, manage a delivery, and represent the company on a job site without being told twice. You'll take daily direction from our Syosset field coordinator, who schedules the crew and is your first call for anything that changes in the field. Our project managers rely on this role to know what's actually happening on site.

You will also be responsible for taking and submitting daily update photos which detail site progress and any issues should they arise.

On any given week you might be installing at a sales gallery in Manhattan, doing a site readiness visit and reporting conditions back to the office, cutting panels to field dimensions, walking a warranty punch list with a GC's quality team, or counting hardware in our stock room. You'll often work alongside one or two other installers, and you're the one responsible for how the work comes out.

You will drive the company van daily between our Syosset office and active job sites, carrying tools, hardware, and materials. The van is your responsibility during the workday and stays at the Syosset office overnight — you'll start and end each day at the office.

What you'll do

• Install and adjust cabinetry, hardware, panels, and trim to a high-end finish standard
• Complete punch list and warranty work independently and close out units so they pass owner and GC inspection
• Perform field modifications when the job calls for it — cutting panels and fillers to field dimensions, edge banding, adjusting for site conditions
• Receive, verify, and stage deliveries on site; coordinate hoisting and access with GC site staff; report damage or shortages the same day with photos
• Perform site check-ins: confirm site readiness, verify field dimensions, flag conditions that will affect installation, and report back to the office with clear photos and measurements
• Act as Spectrum's day-to-day point of contact on site with GC supers, other trades, and installers
• Own chain of custody for everything that leaves the office: know what's in the van, what went to which site, and what came back. Nothing goes missing on your watch. This includes reporting any damages or issues with tools.
• Stay reachable during the workday by phone and company radio, and answer when the office calls
• Do not change scope, method, or finish in the field without sign-off from the office. If a GC asks for something different, call it in before proceeding
• Maintain the company van, tool inventory, and consumables, such as saw blades; keep the van stocked and organized and drive between the office and job sites.
• Track and report your time and materials accurately by project
• Follow all site safety requirements and Spectrum's Job Hazard Analysis procedures

What we need

• 5+ years installing cabinetry, millwork, or finish carpentry, including high-end residential or multifamily work
• Experience working on active construction sites under a general contractor; you understand how a high-rise job site runs.
