Location: Syosset Long Island

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 / hr. (Part Time)

Overview

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products to retail locations throughout the assigned service area. This is a physically demanding role that requires regularly lifting and carrying product cases, operating a commercial delivery vehicle in all traffic and weather conditions, and representing Cirona Labs professionally at every stop. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, physically fit, and comfortable spending the majority of the workday driving and handling freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle (box truck/van) for multiple stops per day across the assigned route, following all traffic laws and company driving policies.
  • Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection each shift, reporting any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns to the Distribution Supervisor immediately.
  • Load, secure, and unload product cases and totes at the start and end of each route, ensuring freight is stacked and strapped to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Manually lift, carry, and move product cases repeatedly throughout the shift, typically ranging from 25–50 lbs, including up and down stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces at delivery sites.
  • Verify delivery manifests against physical product counts at pickup and at each drop‑off, obtaining accurate signatures and documentation per Metrc/Canix chain‑of‑custody requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and the Distribution Supervisor regarding route delays, traffic, vehicle issues, or delivery exceptions.
  • Use GPS/navigation tools and route software to plan efficient stop sequencing and provide accurate ETAs to retail partners.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure vehicle cab and cargo area at all times.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service at every retail stop, representing the Cirona Labs brand.
  • Follow all OCM compliance, chain‑of‑custody, and security protocols for the transport of licensed cannabis products.
  • Report any accidents, near‑misses, damaged product, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
  • Cross train in the picking department.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 75 lbs, without assistance.
  • Ability to repeatedly climb in and out of a commercial delivery vehicle throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely navigate stairs, loading docks, and uneven terrain while carrying product.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions during loading, unloading, and deliveries.
Qualifications
  • Valid New York State driver's license (Class D or higher) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of driving experience; commercial or delivery vehicle experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable operating a box truck or cargo van in local traffic, tight streets, and parking/loading dock situations.
  • No DUI/DWI convictions; no more than 2 minor moving violations or at‑fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, per state cannabis regulations.
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and background check.
  • Must be able to lift and move product consistent with the physical requirements above.
  • Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Smartphone proficiency for navigation, dispatch communication, and delivery documentation apps.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior warehouse, logistics, or cannabis industry experience a plus.
  • Work Uniform:
