Bookkeeper

Description Immediate opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent opportunity in Syracuse, NY.

Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Process invoices, payments, expense reports, and payroll. Assist with month-end closing and journal entries. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Prepare regular financial reports for management. Support auditors and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices. Handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.

Requirements Requirements:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, Microsoft Excel). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
