Hancock Estabrook, LLP, a respected full-service law firm in Central New York, is seeking a full-time accountant with at least two years of experience to join its growing Trusts and Estates Department.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparing accountings, fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns and Federal and NYS estate tax returns
- Preparing Surrogate Court asset inventories
- Marshalling, organizing, and analyzing asset information for tax planning
- Preparing asset summary spreadsheets
- Coordinating and working with attorneys on case management
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience required
- Experience in managing matters and maintaining case organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

The salary range for this position is $65, annually and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and skill set.
