Trusts & Estates Accounting Paralegal – Syracuse

Hancock Estabrook, LLP, a respected full-service law firm in Central New York, is seeking a full-time accountant with at least two years of experience to join its growing Trusts and Estates Department.

• Preparing accountings, fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns and Federal and NYS estate tax returns
• Preparing Surrogate Court asset inventories
• Marshalling, organizing, and analyzing asset information for tax planning
• Preparing asset summary spreadsheets
• Coordinating and working with attorneys on case management

• Minimum of two years of accounting experience required
• Experience in managing matters and maintaining case organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

The salary range for this position is $65, annually and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, including the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications and skill set.
