Staff Accountant - part time

Position: Staff Accountant - permanent part time
Description

Chris Preble is working with a Syracuse client of his that's looking for a permanent part time Accountant.

This job is about 20 hours a week (paid hourly - about $30 an hour) Great work life balance!

Responsibilities:

- Apply and reconcile incoming customer payments accurately and on a timely basis

- Process customer credit card transactions for orders

- Generate and distribute daily customer invoices

- Follow up on outstanding balances and manage collections efforts when required

- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system

- Process invoices for payment in accordance with company procedures

- Prepare and mail weekly vendor payments

- Maintain organized and accurate financial records

- Support reporting requirements and special accounting projects as needed

Requirements

- Knowledge of journal entries and general ledger management.

- Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial documentation.
