Crouse Health is hiring a Senior Hospital Accountant.
Schedule:Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay Range:$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 / annual
Senior Hospital Accountant Position Responsibilities- Accurately documents all financial transactions and properly maintains the general ledger and asset management modules of the organization accounting systems.
- Diligently reviews, interprets and analyzes monthly budget versus actual revenue to proactively identify variances and resolve in a timely and professional manner.
- Properly maintains monthly and yearly audits/reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including tracking of construction in progress accounts.
- Assist department leadership with the preparation of reports and analysis for the organization annual capital budget process.
- Accurately complete and file the appropriate tax returns for the organization and affiliates.
- Efficiently coordinate the Capital Review Committee and meticulously track all approved capital purchases.
- Competently prepare monthly financial presentations and conduct in depth analysis prior to the monthly board meeting.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field required.
- Three (3) years of public or hospital accounting experience required.
- Previous experience with healthcare auditing processes preferred.
- Working knowledge of general ledger and accrual basis of accounting.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and database management.
