Staff Accountant
Robert Half is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our permanent Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team. As a Staff Accountant within the FTEP program, you'll have the unique opportunity to work across multiple industries and businesses, gaining broad experience and developing your detail oriented skill set in a collaborative and supportive environment.
You'll be deployed to support critical accounting functions for our clients—including month-end close process, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and compliance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with audits and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial data and recommend process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with client teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software platforms (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, or SAP).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to different industries and work environments.
