Job Summary:
The Front-End Patient Service Representative (PSR), in our Primary Care/Internal Medicine division, serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support patient care. The PSR manages patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front-desk operations to ensure smooth patient flow and a positive experience.
- Greet patients, families, and visitors in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner
- Check in and register patients for appointments, confirming demographic and insurance information
- Schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on cancellations, and manage waitlists
- Verify insurance eligibility, obtain pre-authorizations when required, and collect copayments or balances
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
- Communicate effectively with clinical and imaging staff to coordinate patient flow and minimize wait times
- Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately
- Assist patients with forms, way finding, and understanding pre-procedure instructions
- Monitor and maintain front-desk supplies and patient-facing materials
- Escalate patient concerns or service issues to management as needed
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions to stay current on processes and protocols
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Monday through Friday daytime hours
