Provide clinical administrative support to assigned ambulatory area. Provide information and assistance to patients regarding insurance requirements and services not covered; obtain insurance authorizations, referrals and denial processes. Assist with patient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:- Associates Degree and two (2) years of relevant experience in a healthcare related setting OR equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with medical coding, and excellent written/oral communication skills required.
- Ability to multi‑task all support roles in a high volume setting.
- Excellent phone customer service and strong computer skills, and keyboarding are necessary.
- Working knowledge of computer systems such as Epic, Word, Groupwise, etc. preferred
