Project Manager
Highland Consulting Group, a national executive recruiting firm specializing in top construction talent, is working with a well-established General Contractor in the Syracuse, NY area to find an experienced Project Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position overseeing ground-up and fit-out projects from award to closeout, with minimal travel required since most projects are within a reasonable commute.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise all phases of assigned construction projects.
- Develop and oversee project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Estimate, negotiate, and track change orders.
- Manage project budgets and approve expenses.
- Handle contract administration and subcontractor/equipment buyouts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project records and oversee closeout documentation.
- Conduct punch-list inspections alongside superintendents and owner representatives.
- Foster strong client relationships to secure repeat business.
- 5+ years of experience managing commercial and institutional construction projects of $10M+.
- Proven ability to establish timelines, budgets, and negotiate change orders.
- Strong multi-tasking and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead multi-discipline team meetings effectively.
- A Bachelors degree in construction or a related field is preferred but not required strong industry experience will be highly considered.
