Reports To: District Manager

Travel: Expected 50% - 85% of the time

Compensation: Negotiable based on skills and experience

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide jobsite coordination.
  • Deliver clear communication with railroad and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct thorough safety briefings with all site personnel.
  • Enforce all railroad, state, local, and federal safety policies.
  • Identify and resolve rule violations in accordance with applicable policies.
  • Ensure contractor training requirements are met.
  • Submit daily field reports detailing contractor and railroad activities.
  • Maintain project site safety in accordance with federal, state, local, and railroad policies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction inspection, grade separation projects, roadway paving/construction, utility work, or related railroad or highway/railway environments.
Job Requirements
  • Proficient computer skills (basic email, phone, text messaging, Android OS, tablet & smartphone, Citrix applications).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge in civil highway construction, railroad engineering/design/construction, and safety.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to travel extended periods (including weeks at a time).
  • Willingness to complete federal, client, and/or company-specific training.

This role operates in a field environment.

Physical Demands
  • Speak, read, and write clearly in English.
  • Drive long distances and/or use other modes of transportation as necessary.
  • Stand for long periods and/or walk on level or uneven ground.
  • Maintain clear visual perception at various distances and colors.
