Position: Assistant Project Manager-DIRECT HIRE
Location: City of Syracuse

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $50,000-$90,000 K annually DOE

Shift: 1st

Typical Responsibilities
  • Assisting in maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and project team members.
  • Supporting procurement of materials and services for ongoing projects.
  • Helping distribute scope of work assignments to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with subcontract creation and change order processes.
  • Supporting project accounting and tracking contract change orders.
  • Helping coordinate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
  • Assisting with administration and tracking of project costs, including accounting updates and approvals.
  • Coordinating project schedules and maintaining communication protocols.
  • Participating in field quality control and attending job meetings as needed.
  • Assisting in project closeout procedures and maintaining records for submittals and closeout requirements.
  • Traveling to project sites as necessary (2-3 days per week).
Qualifications
  • Hold a 2- or 4-year degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Construction (required).
  • Have strong leadership, planning, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Preferably have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position within the commercial building construction industry.
  • Have a solid, consistent work history.
  • Are comfortable using computers and office equipment for daily tasks.
  • Can travel to project sites as needed.
  • Must provide professional references.
