WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Inspector
for our client's Syracuse NY Field Office. Other locations include Albany and Cortland. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

• Provide construction management inspection formulti-trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed inconformancewith the contract requirements.
• Ensuring thattimelydecisions are made to keep projects on schedule and within budgeted costs while meeting clients' needs.
• Perform inspections,prepare constructionreportsand expedite the execution of contracts and supervise inspectors.
• Maintaina written daily log of project progress, actions performed, contractor's workforce, materials approvals and deliveries and issues on the job site.
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, conductmeetingsand communicate with team members in variousrolesas necessary.
• Monitor contractor safety operations and coordinate with Regional Safety Manager as needed.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of (9) years of relevant experience, with a minimum (6) years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects, including supervision.
• Minimum(4) years’ experience as a Construction Inspector, including g site/civil work.
• Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Compensation:

Expected Rate (all locations): $38.51 - $52.26
