Position OverviewThe New York State Department of Motor Vehicles has an immediate need for temporary help at the DMV offices located in Syracuse and North Syracuse.
Syracuse address: 4671 Onondaga Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13219
North Syracuse address: 5801 Taft Rd, North Syracuse, NY 13212
Job Duties- Greet customers.
- Screen and process customer paperwork.
- Manage customer flow using the queuing system.
- Grade and record results of vision tests.
- Enter passing vision test results into the computer system.
- Provide guidance to customers using DMV kiosks.
- Capture customer photos for driver's licenses.
- Proctor various DMV tests.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn windows based applications, and vendor based application to issue eye exams, check in customers, and screen paperwork.
- Experience working in a New York State Agency.
- Familiarity with DMV operations or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Interview will be conducted in-person.
