Architectural Designer

Position Description

Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architecture or projects of moderate size and complexity. Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts. Reviews completed reports, plans, and calculations.

• Provides architectural drafting including details, plans, sections, and elevations in accordance with firm standards and guidelines.
• Coordinates consultant design work with architectural designs.
• Researches and assesses the impact of building codes and other regulations. Conducts additional important architectural research, as necessary.
• Prepares PDF drawings for review and issuance at established project milestones.
• Recognizes, analyzes, and makes timely, critical, and cost-effective decisions.
• Contributes to sustainable design discussions and implements sustainable strategies within project work and firm operations.
• Coordinates and communicates deadlines and other important project-related information with team members.
• Encourages collaboration and teamwork; works well with others.
• Represents the firm and markets its capabilities.
• Responds to client questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
• Understands budgeted time constraints of jobs assigned.

• At least 3 years’ experience in production design
• Degree in Architecture or related field
• Proficient in REVIT and experience in AutoCAD is a plus
