Designer II

Fully competent in all conventional aspects of architecture. Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity. Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts. Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data. Drafts reports and specifications. Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations.

• Provides architectural drafting including details, plans, sections, and elevations in accordance with firm standards and guidelines.
• Coordinates structural, mechanical, and electrical designs with architectural designs.
• Researches and assesses impact of building codes and other regulations. Conducts another important architectural research, as necessary.
• Furnishes blueprints, copies, reports, bid registers, mailings, etc., as necessary.
• Recognizes, analyzes, and makes timely, critical, and cost-effective decisions.
• Contributes to sustainable design discussions and implements sustainable strategies within project work and firm operations.
• Coordinates and communicates deadlines and other important project related information with team members.
• Encourages collaboration and teamwork; works well with others.
• Represents the firm and markets its capabilities.
• Responds to client questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner.
• Understands budgeted time constraints of jobs assigned

• Licensure Required
• 6 years’ experience in production design
• Degree in Architecture or related field
• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD
