Nocturnist Hospitalist Opportunity Syracuse, New York
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its established Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist in Syracuse, New York. This position focuses on delivering high-quality overnight inpatient care within a collaborative, physician-led environment with strong specialty support.
Position Details:
Provide overnight inpatient coverage on a 7 PM 7 AM schedule
7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts
Manage admissions and provide ongoing care for hospitalized patients
Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations
Provide closed ICU overnight rounding for Hospitalist patients
Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care
Document patient care in EPIC EMR
Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary care teams
Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Active New York medical license or willingness to obtain
Active DEA registration
Clean malpractice and license history
Current NPDB Self-Query report dated within 30 days of presentation
Prior hospitalist experience required

Position is not open to locum candidates

Work within a supportive and collegial hospitalist team with strong subspecialty backup
