Facility Setting: Level II Trauma Center Hospital-based Cardiac Surgery Program OR-focused with some ICU/Floor coverage

An excellent locum Cardiovascular Surgery PA opportunity is available in Syracuse, New York, covering a paternity leave with the potential for ongoing needs. Ideal for an experienced PA who thrives in the OR and cardiac surgical environment.

• Cardiovascular surgery support in a busy hospital cardiac surgery program

• Primarily OR first assist with some ICU and floor coverage

• Adult patient population

• Work closely with an onsite supervising cardiac surgeon

• Epic EMR

• Monday Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

• Weekend coverage: TBD

• Call:
  Not required, but optional for interested providers

• OR first assist

• Chest tube insertions

• Vein and vascular tissue harvesting for bypass procedures

• Assist with perioperative cardiac surgery care

• Robotic experience is a plus

• NCCPA certified

• Active New York PA license

• BLS & ACLS

• Strong cardiac surgery operating room experience

• Comfortable with first assist and vein harvest

• Travel, lodging, and rental car provided
