Pathology Pathologist Physician Syracuse, NY

St. Josephs Health, a member of Trinity Health is seeking to recruit a full-time Pathologist to our expanding, hospital employed team at our 400-bed community hospital in Syracuse, NY. This is a high volume, non-academic practice supported by a senior, well-established group of pathologists who are committed to mentorship and collaboration. Position Details:

• Full time, hospital employed Pathologist
• High-volume, unique case load; large number of surgical breast cases
• Opportunity to oversee a broad range of pathology cases, including:
  • AP/CP
  • Cytology
  • Organ donation evaluations
  • Cardiothoracic transfusion/blood bank support
  • Frozen section analysis
  • Limited specimen grossing
  • Limited neonatology cases
  • No adult autopsy cases

Schedule:

• Shared rotational call averaging 1:4 weekly call rotation (minimal overnight call)
• Occasional Saturday call specifically for frozen section coverage

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Pathologist
• Anatomic and Clinical Pathology trained candidates strongly encouraged to apply
• NYS license
• Strong clinical and communication skills

Recruitment Package

• Base Salary: $400-$427K base depending on experience
• Starting Bonus: $25K
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.

• CME time & $4,500 annual expense allowance
