Healthcare Consultant
Hutchings Psychiatric Center (HPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited hospital, is recruiting a Psychiatrist 3 to provide clinical and administrative oversight of medical staff assigned to adult inpatient units.
As the Psychiatrist 3, you will be responsible for ensuring inpatient treatment programs align with the clinical mission of patient-centered care at HPC including:
- Providing clinical and administrative supervision to eight (8) medical staff including psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Mentoring and training psychiatry residents and medical students.
- Ensuring treatment programs are effectively planned, organized, and implemented to meet the needs of individuals.
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments including diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, and counseling.
- Overseeing the quality of treatment services provided by medical staff and ensuring compliance with OMH standards.
- Conducting case reviews, providing treatment recommendations, and participating in treatment planning.
- Collecting and analyzing data related to medication management and treatment outcomes to enhance care.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; and
- Certification in psychiatry by the ABPN; and
- Two (2) years of post-board certification experience as a member of the psychiatric staff in a psychiatric hospital and/or in the psychiatry department of a general hospital, one (1) year of which must have included clinical supervision of other psychiatrists, psychiatric residents, or fellows.
