Applications are now invited from qualified educators for the position of Kindergarten Assistant (Inclusion Support) to support St Joseph's Kindergarten, Park Avenue. This is a term‑time contract position for 15 hours per week (five day fortnight – Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday), commencing as soon as able or as negotiated with the successful applicant until 4 December 2026. This position reports directly to the Kindergarten Director or the person appointed to be responsible for the centre.
Other key relationships include children, families and the Early Learning & Care Manager.
- Assisting with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation
- Providing one‑on‑one or small group support to students, including students with additional needs
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record‑keeping and organising educational materials

- A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice is a requirement of the position.
- A minimum Cert III in Children’s Services (or working towards) or equivalent is required. A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved qualifications) is preferred.
