Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological and educational support services within a school-based setting near Syracuse, New York. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students academic, behavioral, emotional, and social development.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment while helping students achieve success through assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
Responsibilities- Conduct psycho educational evaluations and interpret assessment results
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Develop and support behavioral and academic intervention plans
- Provide consultation regarding student mental health, learning, and behavior needs
- Assist in crisis intervention and social-emotional support initiatives
- Maintain compliant documentation, reports, and evaluation timelines
- Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) and student support services
- Monitor student progress and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
- Active New York State School Psychologist License required
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of special education processes and psycho educational evaluations
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team
- Full-time schedule with consistent weekly hours
