Standard University business hours. 8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year). 8:00am - 4:30pm (summer). Evening and weekend hours may be required. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job DescriptionThe Associate Director of Community Standards provides operational leadership and oversight of the University’s student conduct system, ensuring procedural consistency, educational integrity, and equitable outcomes across all conduct processes. The Associate Director supervises and supports conduct officers, trains and advises the University Conduct Board, and serves as the office’s lead resource for complex case consultation, organizational misconduct, and appeals.
The Associate Director oversees the Title IX Formal Resolution hearing process including scheduling, logistics, communications to students and their attorneys, outcome letters, and appeals. This position develops, assesses, and revises inter‑departmental processes, educational sanctions, and case adjudication protocols.
Serving as the primary liaison between the Community Standards office and key campus partners, the Associate Director fosters collaborative relationships that support timely and appropriate responses to student behavior. This position also responds to inquiries from partner offices, parents, and other third parties, connects students with appropriate campus support resources, and represents the office on University committees as needed.
Education and Experience- Masters degree with 5–7 or more years of full‑time experience in higher education administration or related field required.
- Experience in student conduct/residence life with conduct resolution responsibilities required.
- Masters degree in student affairs, counseling, or related human development degree preferred.
- Experience with Maxient conduct database, assessment, and web design preferred.
- Working with student behavior in a learning environment of at least 4 years preferred.
- Use of Maxient Conduct Software.
- Ability to maintain privacy.
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Responsible for the overall day‑to‑day administrative operation of the student conduct process.
- Serves as case manager for all Title IX Formal resolutions cases including scheduling hearings, logistics of the hearings, sending communications, working closely with Student and Employee Title IX offices on reports, working with attorneys.
- Serves as a conduct officer for certain high‑level cases.
- Supervises, trains, and supports conduct officers, and trains and advises conduct boards.
- Serve as the lead resource for consultation on behavioral matters, including student organizational misconduct, and manage the University Appeals Process.
