Laboratory in Health Psychology (Fall 2026)
The Department of Psychology is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PSY
383 Laboratory in Health Psychology during the Fall semester beginning August 2026 (3 credits). Course description:
Applied study of research questions and techniques in the field of health psychology. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. This position is contingent on funding availability and enrollment.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.
As part of your teaching assignment as a Part-time Instructor, your duties will include the following: developing and/or updating a class syllabus; ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date; preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments; maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week; presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class;
meeting all designated class periods; working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes; submitting completed final grades according to University regulations; grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner; providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations; and completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your department's policies for part-time instructors.
