Part-Time Faculty: PSY 374:
Social Psychology (Fall 2026)
The Department of Psychology is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PSY 374 Social Psychology during the Fall 2026 semester. Course description:
Introduction to scientific study of the social behavior of individuals; experimental approach. Social influence, conformity, social perception, attitude changes, small groups, and collective behavior. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D., or working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.
As part of your teaching assignment as a Part-time Instructor, your duties will include the following: developing and/or updating a class syllabus, ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date, preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week, presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class, meeting all designated class periods, working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes, submitting completed final grades according to University regulations, grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner, providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations, and completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your department's policies for part-time instructors.
