Pay Range: $2,084.07 - $2,146.59 per credit hour
Pay Determination: Salary offers will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months salary unless otherwise specified.
FLSA Status: Exempt

Job DescriptionCOU 614 Group Work in Counseling (3 credits) – a part‑time instructor role to teach the fall semester 2026. The course covers principles of group dynamics, group developmental stage theory, leadership styles, group leadership methods, with emphasis on integrating practice and theory in multiple group contexts. Students participate in a within‑class group experience.
Qualifications- PhD and clinical experience leading groups required.
- College‑level teaching experience highly desirable.
- Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
- Preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods; if unable to meet, reschedule or obtain substitute and notify department chair.
- Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
- Participating in departmental meetings or workshops.
- Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
