Adjunct Instructor of Music
SUNY Onondaga Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Music beginning in August 2026. The successful candidate will teach one or more of the following courses, with preference given to candidates with availability to teach all three courses listed below.

MUS

Music of the African Diaspora (T/TH 12:45-2:10PM)
MUS
182/301:
Music as a Business (T/TH 11:10-12:35PM)
Review of applications will begin on July 9, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Music from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated successful teaching experience in music (private, studio, classroom, community, or postsecondary settings).
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Music or related field from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency.
- College-level teaching experience in one or more of the listed subject areas.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment. Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
