Part-Time Faculty: MFT Family Violence; Summer

Job Description

The College of Arts and Sciences seeks an instructor to teach MFT Family Violence – Online Sync Thursdays 5:30pm–7:30pm, from 5/11 to 8/21. The role involves a systemic approach to assessment and treatment of family violence, including child, spousal, and parental abuse. The hiring rate of pay will be determined based on the candidate’s per‑credit‑rate history within the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.

• MA or PhD, and previous teaching experience. LMFT or equivalent.

• Develop and/or update the class syllabus.
• Prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
• Present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
• Meet all designated class periods.
• Submit completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
• Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
