Italian Adjunct Faculty

Job Description:

The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences is seeking candidates with expertise in Italian to teach ITA
101 and ITA
102 for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Italian from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalent.

OR

• Master's degree in Education or Linguistics from an accredited college, university or a foreign equivalent, with 18 graduate credits in Italian.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College teaching experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.

• Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
• Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
