Experience:

This position requires regular in‑person presence to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the academic environment.

Pay Range: $1,483.20 – $1,751 per credit hour.

Hours:

Fall Semester 2026 – Tuesday 5:30 PM to 8:20 PM, online synchronous, 08/25/2026 to 12/08/2026. Office hours are required.

Job Description

The Department of Creative Arts Therapy seeks a Part‑Time Instructor to teach ATR 718 Internship II, a two‑credit‑hour online synchronous course during the Fall 2026 semester.

Supervision of students taking internship hours in the observation and clinical practice of art therapy. The course allows students to complete up to 350 hours of practicum/internship.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in art therapy.
  • Current national certification in art therapy accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
  • At least 5 years of clinical experience in art therapy, preferably within the last 5 years.
  • Experience supervising students in internship hours.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or update the class syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
  • Meet all designated class periods; if unable, reschedule or arrange a substitute and notify the department chair.
  • Submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades per University regulations.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
  • Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
