This position requires regular in-person presence on campus to support students, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the academic environment.
Pay Range: $1483.20 - $1596.50 per credit hour. Salary offers are based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Hours: Fall 2026 semester. Class meets in person on Tuesday/Thursday 3:30‑4:50. Office hours are required.

Job DescriptionThe S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is looking for an individual to teach TRF 453/653 Short‑Form Production on Tuesdays/Thursdays 3:30‑4:50 in the Fall 2026 semester (3 credits).

Description:
Techniques of short‑form moving image media such as commercials, promos, music videos, show openings, special effects, and high‑impact packaging. The course covers theory and practice related to multimedia short‑form production, including cinematography, videography, graphics, animation, music, sound effects, and editing techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Instructor should have a background in the communications field.
- Substantial background in short‑form production.
- Develop a syllabus.
- Order materials for students prior to the first class day.
- Prepare for classes.
- Hold weekly office hours on campus.
- Grade student assignments and examinations timely, and submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades per university regulations.
- Ability to teach the class on scheduled days and times.
- Ability to hold office hours on campus.
- Ability to grade all assignments and examinations.
- Ability to operate standard classroom instructional technology (computer, projector, document camera, etc.).
