Job Title:

Part‑Time Faculty: DRA 090 M001 & M002 Theater Lab (Fall 2026)

Location:

Campus (Syracuse University)

Pay Range: $1,483.20 – $1,751 per credit hour

Hours:

Fall Semester 2026, 4:00 PM‑6:00 PM, Storch Theater, 08/26/2026 – 12/02/2026. Office hours are required.

Job Type: Part‑time

Rank: PTI/Adjunct, Unionized Position Code UA

Qualifications
  • Advanced or terminal degree (or equivalent professional experience) desirable.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Responsibilities
  • Teach lecture, discussion, and performance class once per week.
  • Develop and/or update a class syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Present instruction based on course competencies and performance levels.
  • Meet all designated class periods.
  • Reschedule the class or obtain a substitute if unable to meet class due to illness or emergency.
  • Notify the department chair of any absence and plan to cover the class.
  • Submit completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
  • Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
