Terra Science and Education is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing project based learning and innovation through high-quality educational programs and international initiatives. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and mission-driven K–12 Programs Manager to oversee and expand several of Terra's signature educational programs while building lasting relationships with schools and educational partners.
Role DescriptionThe K–12 Programs Manager will coordinate and manage Terra's statewide educational initiatives, including Terra Fairs

, and support for the GENIUS Olympiad
. The successful candidate will work closely with school districts, educators, volunteers, universities, and community organizations to ensure successful program delivery while helping develop new educational opportunities that advance Terra's mission.
This position requires excellent organizational, communication, project management, and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, enjoys working with educators and community partners, and is passionate about expanding educational opportunities for students.
Primary Responsibilities- Coordinate, organize, and lead the Terra Fairs program throughout New York State.
- Coordinate, organize, and lead the travel to ISEF conference with selected.
- Coordinate and manage the New York Invents program and support participating schools and regional partners.
- Plan annual program timelines, milestones, and implementation strategies.
- Develop resources, training materials, and operational procedures for participating schools and committees.
- Monitor program quality and recommend improvements.
- Arrange, organize, and lead meetings with local fair committees and program partners.
- Recruit new schools, districts, higher education institutions, and community organizations to participate in Terra programs.
- Develop and expand partnerships with educational organizations, nonprofit agencies, businesses, and government entities.
- Conduct outreach activities to increase participation and awareness of Terra programs.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from teachers, administrators, schools, districts, students, and parents.
- Qualify incoming inquiries and connect prospective participants with appropriate Terra programs.
- Represent Terra at educational conferences, workshops, school visits, and community events.
- Participate in activities within the K–16 education community that increase Terra's visibility and impact.
- Assist with planning and implementation of the International GENIUS Olympiad as assigned.
- Collaborate with staff to support additional Terra educational initiatives throughout the year.
- Assist the Director of Operations with operational responsibilities and special projects as needed.
- Develop new educational programs, services, and initiatives that address emerging needs within the K–12 education community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, Event Management or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build positive relationships with educators, administrators, community leaders, and volunteers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to travel throughout New York State and occasionally outside the state.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience working in K–12 education or educational nonprofits.
- Experience organizing educational events, competitions, or conferences.
- Familiarity with STEM education or science fairs.
