Job Description: Marriage & Family Therapy is seeking a part-time instructor to teach MFT 688 (3 credits) Family Therapy Across the Lifecycle. Meets Online SYNC:
Mon – 05:30 PM – 07:30 PM. Integrative family therapy course exploring the content and process of family therapy in a way that values the similarities and differences inherent in individual and family therapy across the developmental life cycle. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
Qualifications:
- MA or PhD, and previous teaching experience.
- LMFT or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and/or updating class syllabus
- Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course
- Meeting all designated class periods
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations
- Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty
