Syracuse University’s Department of African American Studies invites applications for a part-time Instructor to teach AAS 409:
African American Jazz and Social Life in Fall 2026. The course meets Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30–4:50 pm, in person on campus.
The successful candidate will guide students through critical jazz scholarship and listening examples, exploring the role of jazz in African American communities and social life, with course credit of 3.
