Position: Part-Time Faculty: AMC 799.1: Capstone Project (Fall 2026)
The Setnor School of Music within the College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks Part-Time Instructor to teach AMC 799 Capstone Project, a three credit hour course, during the Fall semester, 2026.

Coaching students through final research project in the Master of Music Vocal Pedagogy degree program.

Qualifications

* A minimum of a Master of Music (preferred), or demonstrable equivalent professional experience.

* Demonstrated successful college level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

* The candidate should have strong attention to detail, knowledge of course content, demonstrated pedagogical ability, as well as the ability to relate well in a classroom and one-on-one environment with college-level students.

* Preference will be given to applicants who are able to fulfill multiple positions within the Setnor School of Music.

Responsibilities

* Weekly Coaching of Vocal Pedagogy students

* Develop and/or update a class syllabus.

* Prepare projects, or other student assignments.

* Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.

* Present instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.

* Meet all designated class periods.

* Submit completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to university regulations.

* Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.

* Provide departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.

* Build a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
